What Is A Japanese Head Spa

Head massage has been an essential part of Japanese culture for centuries, with roots in traditional East Asian healing practices.

A Japanese head spa is a holistic treatment, focusing on scalp health and hair growth. Essentially, it is a deep cleansing of the hair with slow, intentional movements using massage and tools designed to promote mind-body connection through massage. Imagine faint sounds of running water and scalp massaging, hair tools, and essential oils to awaken your senses to another realm for the ultimate experience of deep relaxation.

Your appointment will begin by choosing your essential oil blend made in-house, amongst other products that we will be using. If you are receiving the 60-minute version, the focus will be on the scalp/head/hair treatment, a shoulder cleanse, a shoulder massage, and a hand massage. If you are receiving the 90-minute version, you will begin your service with our signature facial (no extractions) and warm hand mitts followed by the complete Japanese Head spa.

We recommend waiting one week after getting your hair colored to receive this treatment. A blow dryer will be provided for your use post-treatment.
